Undoubtedly, it belongs to the finest works created by Paraguayan guitarist and composer Agustín Barrios Mangoré.

Manuel María Ponce - Concierto del Sur

A cherry on top. This concerto is a cornerstone in the realm of classical guitar concertos with orchestra. One of the most renowned pieces by Mexican composer Manuel María Ponce, it is composed in a European style while incorporating a spice of traditional Mexican elements. Its powerful melodies, harmonies, and orchestration, along with one of the longest guitar cadenzas, never fail to amaze.
